Fire Safety Knowledge Takes Root in Hearts, Building a Secure Firewall Together

In 2025, the 24th National "Workplace Safety Month" kicked off in full swing, bringing a wave of safety awareness across the nation. On the afternoon of June 17th, Suzhou Fire Department transformed into "safety ambassadors," stepping confidently into Suzhou EDT to deliver an enriching and practical fire safety training session for colleagues. 

At the training, Suzhou Fire used vivid case studies and professional explanations to present the dangers of fires, preventive measures, and essential fire escape techniques in an accessible manner, ensuring everyone grasped the knowledge clearly. The attendees listened attentively and gained invaluable insights. 

This training not only heightened colleagues' awareness of fire safety but also equipped them with practical firefighting skills, deepening their understanding of the critical importance of fire safety. It further laid a solid foundation for creating a secure and harmonious work environment. 

"Fire safety is everyone's responsibility"—this is not just a slogan but a duty and mission each of us carries. We believe that in both work and daily life, everyone can become a "guardian" of fire safety, integrating safety awareness into every detail, making security an ever-present companion. 

Appendix: Fire Department’s Recommended Four Essential Fire Safety Tools for Homes:

1. Portable Fire Extinguisher: A highly efficient and practical firefighting device, compact, lightweight, and easy to operate, with strong fire-suppressing capabilities. Ideal for tackling early-stage fires in various scenarios. 

2. Fire Blanket: Woven from specially treated materials like fiberglass, it is a simple yet effective initial firefighting tool. During the early stages of a fire, it plays a critical role. Soft yet offering excellent heat and flame resistance, it acts like a loyal guard, isolating heat sources and flames. It can be used to smother oil pan fires or wrapped around the body to provide a protective layer for safe escape. 

3. Gas Leak Detector: Like a keen "sniffer," this device detects and alerts to gas leaks (such as natural gas, liquefied petroleum gas, or manufactured gas). Once gas concentration reaches or exceeds the preset threshold, it immediately triggers audible and visual alarms, serving as a warning to take prompt action and prevent gas-related explosions, fires, or poisoning incidents. 

4. Simple Smoke Mask: In a fire, smoke is often the deadliest threat, laden with toxic substances. A simple smoke mask acts as a "shield" against toxic fumes, safeguarding respiratory safety and offering a greater chance of survival in fire emergencies.
